WCPL Retired Director, Jeff Yahraus Receives OLC 2023 Hall Of Fame Librarian Award

Congratulations to Jeff Yahraus, Retired Director of Williams County Public Library, who has been named the 2023 Hall of Fame Librarian through the Ohio Library Council! This prestigious award recognizes a librarian for his or her career achievements, sustained leadership, commitment to the library profession, and contributions to the community at large. We at WCPL are so excited for Jeff to receive this much deserved award!

Newspapers.com Now Available at WCPL

The newspaper archive Newspapers.com is now available at the Williams County Public Library. In addition, the newspaper titles from Bryan, OH are available on the website. These titles include the Bryan Press, Bryan Democrat, and the Bryan Times ranging from 1863-2022. The Bryan newspapers can be accessible at any Williams County Public Library location or at the Local History and Genealogy Center for full access to newspaper archive.

Kids Playaway Launchpads Now Available for Checkout

Kids Playaway Launchpads are now available for checkout at all WCPL locations in Bryan, Edgerton, Edon, Pioneer, Stryker, and West Unity! 

Made just for little explorers, Kids Launchpads are loaded with learning apps, videos, games and more for hours of interactive learning and play. No internet needed! Learning themes include STEM/STEAM, Early Literacy, Kindergarten Readiness, Learning Explorers, Life Skills, and more! Launchpads are available for one week checkout, with one auto renewal. 

Open House for WCPL Board Member, Candy Tressler

On Monday, December 18th from 3:00pm to 4:00pm, the Williams County Public Library will hold an Open House in honor of WCPL Board of Trustees member, Candy Tressler. The reception will take place at the West Unity Branch Library, located at 109 S High St, West Unity, OH 43570. The public is welcome to attend, and the event is open to all ages. Come celebrate the 14 years of service Candy has dedicated to serving on the Williams County Public Library Board of Trustees!
