Our circulation staff can help you check out materials, renew items, place holds on titles you would like to read, take care of any fines or fees you may have, and help you find materials. You may also renew materials and place holds by calling the library during our regular hours.

How to I get a library card?
Just stop in to your local Williams County Public Library branch in Bryan, Edgerton, Edon, Pioneer, Stryker or West Unity and fill out a library card application. We do require that you show photo identification with valid address and a billing statement so that we can verify your address. Children can apply for cards, but must have their parent/guardian sign their application. Non Ohio residents can also be issued a card for an annual fee of $25.00. As a member of the SEO (Serving Every Ohioan) Library Consortium, the WCPL will accept other SEO library member cards and treat them as if they were our own.
Can someone else check my books out for me?
The Williams County Public Library endorses the recommendation of the American Library Association according to Ohio Law, in its statement on the confidentiality of library records. Following that recommendation patrons must supply their library card when checking out materials. If picking up requested materials that are on hold, the person who's card was used to place the holds must pick up the materials. If there are special circumstances the library must be informed. Our only goals are to protect the privacy of our patrons and to shield the library from theft of materials.
How long can I borrow things?
Books, Books on Tape/CD all check out for 28 days.
Videos/DVD and magazines check out for 7 days.
You can renew items online through our catalog or by phone. You can not renew items that have waiting lists.
What are your fines and fees?
The Williams County Public Library will not charge overdue fines for borrowers. Lost or damaged materials may include the total cost of the item, including any processing fees or fines accumulated.
What if I don't live in Ohio?
The library charges a nominal fee of $25.00 per year for non-Ohio residents. If you have more than one family member you can all be included on the same yearly subscription.
