Weeding of Materials

Weeding shall be defined as the process of withdrawing materials from the Library collection. Weeding shall be done by or under the supervision of the Director, Assistant Director, or Branch Manager. All weeded material shall be previewed by the Director before final withdrawal from the collection.

Criteria for weeding shall be as follows:

Word Processing

The library will make every effort to have word processing computers at every location of the library, contingent on adequate funding.

All word processing computers will be loaded with software chosen by the library.

Staff are not expected to train patrons on the use of software.

Time limits may be imposed if other patrons are waiting to use the word processing equipment.

Friends of the Bryan Library

The Friends of the Bryan Library assist in may ways.  The Friends promote continued growth, development and use of the library by people of all ages and interests.  Memberships and money raised from donations and fund raisers enable the Friends to provide services, equipment, and programs for the library.  See below for a printable Membership form.


 

Friends of the Edgerton Library

Join the Friends of the Edgerton Branch Library and help support our community library during Summer Reading, for special projects and events, and all year round with funds for book and supply purchases for the library.

Friends members also help volunteer to assist with story times and other special events.
