The Williams County Public Library, with locations in Bryan, Edgerton, Edon, Pioneer, Stryker and West Unity, will be closed on Monday, September 4th, in observance of the Labor Day holiday.
Congratulations to Jeff Yahraus, Retired Director of Williams County Public Library, who has been named the 2023 Hall of Fame Librarian through the Ohio Library Council! This prestigious award recognizes a librarian for his or her career achievements, sustained leadership, commitment to the library profession, and contributions to the community at large. We at WCPL are so excited for Jeff to receive this much deserved award!

Williams County Public Library will hold a “Retirement Reception”, in honor of WCPL Director, Jeff Yahraus. The reception will take place in the Carnegie Room of the Bryan Main Library, located at 107 E High St, Bryan, OH 43506, and will be held on Sunday, May 21st from 1:00pm to 4:00pm. The public is welcome to attend, and the event is open to all ages. Cakes, punch, and other food goodies will be served. Come celebrate the 43 years of service Jeff has dedicated to the community and to the library!

The Williams County Public Library will be joining libraries in schools, campuses and communities nationwide in celebrating National Library Week, a time to highlight the value of libraries, librarians and library workers. National Library Week 2023 will run from April 23rd through the 29th, with a theme of “There’s More to the Story”. There will be a Children's Basket giveaway at each WCPL location, along with many FREE PROGRAMS!

The newspaper archive Newspapers.com is now available at the Williams County Public Library. In addition, the newspaper titles from Bryan, OH are available on the website. These titles include the Bryan Press, Bryan Democrat, and the Bryan Times ranging from 1863-2022. The Bryan newspapers can be accessible at any Williams County Public Library location or at the Local History and Genealogy Center for full access to newspaper archive.
