Independence Day: All WCPL locations will be CLOSED on Thursday, July 4th for Independence Day. “Challenging the Stigma” event held at Bryan Main Library On March 28th, the 2nd Annual Challenging the Stigma event was held at the Bryan Main Library, with WCPL partnering with The Ability Center and Williams County Board of Developmental Disabilities. The event celebrated differences, and focused on combating stigmas associated with disabilities. Special guest speakers included Katie Maskey, author of Ferdinand with the Extra Toes, Alex Miller, Special Olympics Athlete, Paula Kline who gave an update on the inclusive park in Bryan, and Patrolman Brian Robinson with his K-9 partner Bane from the Bryan Police. Art and artists from the Soaring Arts Studio in Napoleon, OH also shared their skills with those who attended. WCPL celebrates Solar Eclipse 2024 with Viewing Parties On April 8th, Williams County Public Library celebrated the 2024 Solar Eclipse with viewing parties at locations in Bryan, Edgerton, Stryker, and West Unity! Attendees were able to view the solar eclipse from library lawns, as it reached near totality. This was an unforgettable cosmic event and we loved having the chance to share this experience with our patrons!
