On Saturday, June 14 singer/songwriter David Jackson will perform as part of the Carnegie Chapters in the Carnegie room of the Bryan Library at 7:00 pm.
From the age of 11 David Jackson realized he had a passion for music. He began writing and singing songs for church and talent shows. After learning how to play the guitar, that passion increased and so did the quality of his song writing. Over the years David was in several Christian rock bands and sang in the Williams county idol competitions. In 2012 he felt called to write and record a worship EP, and began writing and raising funds to move forward with this vision. His new EP "Beautiful Blood" is now available for download.
The Carnegie Chapters was created by Williams County Public Library as a way to showcase newer talent, both local and nationwide. The first concert was held on May 24th and featured the talented Whitney Mann. David Jackson will be the second performer of the series.
These events have limited seating and the library encourages attendees to arrive early enough to insure seating. Doors will open one hour before each show at 6:00 p.m. All of the concerts are free to the public and are funded through donations.
Additional acts will be added as they become available. Interested performers should email firstname.lastname@example.org or call the library 419-636-6734 Ext. 239.The Bryan Main Library is located at 107 E. High Street.
