Back to school night can be stressful. Save yourself some work by stopping in at the Stryker Branch Library for a sausage and ice cream fundraiser meal, before or after visiting Stryker’s back to school open house. This "Back to School Kick-off Fundraiser" is organized by the Friends of the Stryker Branch Library and will proudly serve sausage donated by Rusty and Sue Gobel and ice-cream donated from The Stryker General Store. Other menu items will include, hot dogs, chips and homemade cookies.
Celebrate Right to Read Week, May 8-12, at the Stryker Branch Library! Take part in exciting programs with this year’s theme “Down on the Farm!” Area students are invited to visit the library after school to join in the fun. Right to Read Week activities run from 3:15 through 4:00 pm and are for kinds in preschool through 6th grade. On Monday, May 08 there will be a “Farm Animal Scavenger Hunt”! Eat ‘haystacks”, make a guess for the Guessing Jars, and have fun with puzzle and coloring pages. On Tuesday, May 09 everyone is welcome to stop in and make a “Farm Animal” craft.
The Stryker Branch Library will be holding “A Touch of Color” Adult Canvas Painting Class on Monday, May 08 from 5:00 to 7:00 pm. Please join us for an evening of fun and creativity! Instructor TamiLee will coach you and your friends through each step of the painting process, so don’t worry if you’re a painting beginner! Come for an event filled with inspiration and excitement! This event is for ages 18 and older.
